What’s up, party people?

As of 12:00am today, the clique is LIVE! It feels so surreal to me — partially because I’m completely delirious with exhaustion and partially because this is such a dream come true. Six months ago I came up with the name for the site, not fully knowing exactly how I wanted to execute it or even where to truly start. Now, with the help of so many incredible journalists and the endless support and encouragement from all of you, this labor of love has come to life ✨

So, what now?

Totally fair question! Pitches will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis, and I already have some fabulous new content in the works from writers I’m very lucky to be collaborating with. In the meantime, I want to highlight some of the great work that you can now find on the site:

This piece was a blast to edit — and as a sex & relationships journalist first and foremost, I’m always stoked to publish exciting, thought-provoking, sex-forward content in that realm. Send me all your stories and ideas, please!

Alyssa may be a young journalist, but her writing prowess and reporting skills are instantly impressive. I was blown away by the hard work she put into this story, and I can’t wait to continue platforming early-career journalists who deserve a spotlight on their voice!

It likely comes as no surprise that this piece is so good, considering how esteemed Catherine is as a journalist. I love the way she took a relatively new and trending concept and skillfully zoomed the lens out so we could understand the bigger picture of historic cycles and cultural implications connected to it.

Now, I’m a very progressive person when it comes to sex & relationships (obvi), and I support the notion that “age is just a number,” but there’s a certain extent where ethics may come into question, IMO…

I have a LOT of thoughts about 24-year old actress Kiernan Shipka and 46-year old white man who makes music John Mayer cavorting around together. Apparently they’ve been fraternizing since 2022… when girlie was 22 years old. The fact that he could literally be her father is one thing, but in a deeper sense, this makes me once again ponder about a concept I’ve pitched to so many editors [and had rejected every time, lmao]: when does an age gap relationship become predatory?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this — I just might use the intel for some new content on the site 😉
